When I heard that there were going to be Carnival Rides at Perimeter Mall this past weekend I was determined to go up there one evening to take some photos. I just love all the rich, vibrant colors and lights. I still remember all those times when I was a kid eating funnel cakes, cotton candy, and going on all those fun rides! Good times!
I dragged Steve over there and with all our gear in tow (lenses, tripods, etc.) we got there right before sunset and just started having fun. My favorite lens for this was the Canon 14mm, f/2.8 because it could capture such a wide area.
Using a tripod allowed me to take a long exposure of the Carousel while it was moving and with some post-processing I was able to get this cool effect.
I just love all the cool colors I was able to create in post-processing!
The Ferris Wheel was so cute with all the vibrant colors. Again, using a tripod and a long exposure I was able to capture the light trails for a really cool look.
My husband also got some great shots and even though we didn't get the chance to go on any of the rides (we were too busy taking photos!), we had a blast. We ended up the nice evening with a delicious and fun meal and wine at Seasons 52. It was a perfect Sunday Night!
